MedConnect Wheelchair Transport, L.L.C., or MedConnect, was founded by Joshua Thomas in Dallas, Texas. As the son and designated caretaker of his mother Leela Thomas (who was mobility impaired & confined to a wheelchair due to her condition with ALS), he personally assisted her when traveling in their family wheelchair accessible van to doctor's appointments, family get togethers, weddings, and an array of other locations/events. But before owning their own vehicle, the family had to take on the common task of finding a ride from a local non emergency medical transportation (NEMT) company to get from place to place. Like you may be doing right now.
After searching through rates and calling various companies for a wheelchair accessible van ride quote, the family quickly recognized the growing need for a less costly NEMT service in the DFW area. They proceeded to invest in their own wheelchair accessible vehicle which began the foundation for MedConnect.
Joshua's mother Leela, who was the CEO of her own Home Health Care agency/Hospice, as well as a registered nurse and case manager, helped in the starting and build up of the business. And since its start, MedConnect has always held two priorities in mind, "Affordable Rides, with Real Service". From passengers that are young to elderly, mobility impaired, confined to wheelchair, recovering from surgery, or whatever the case may be.
Let MedConnect help you get where you where you need to be at a more affordable price.
